BET TO SHUT DOWN "106 AND PARK" AFTER 14YEARS



This came as a shock to me as i wondered what on earth would make BET even want to shut down their top music/variety show "106 and Park" after fourteen years on air. As unbelievable as this sounds, it is true. This was confirmed in a press statement by BET president Stephanie Hill. She said that the show would air its last episode on 19th December 2014, thereafter it would become "digital only"
“It’s been a great 14-year run as America’s top music/variety show on cable. And now that very valuable brand is going to take its talents to the digital realm. The interactive brand you helped build, ‘106 & Park,’ is alive and well and it’s moving to the space in which our audience now interacts with music the most: online.” Hill said.
The show is currently hosted by Bow wow and Keisha Chante and am sure they must be very sad at this. I for one is sad for i have come to love the show and would not want it to end...
